About Us
What is your favorite food moment?
Stealing that first ripe strawberry from the garden, a fresh tomato from the vine still warm from the sun, or maybe eating a watermelon so sweet and juicy you don’t care if it drips everywhere.
At Flying Carrot Farm, we want to bring joy and a sense of wonder back onto your plate and back into your family’s dinner. We want to make eating healthy fun. The secret is starting with simple food that tastes amazing from the field. We grow varieties of fruits and vegetables based on taste, and we harvest our produce at the peak of ripeness and flavor. We offer convenience and flexibility in buying delicious local produce and supporting a local family farm.

Practices
We let our chickens be chickens. Our ladies free-range on pasture, which means they get to be outside eating grass and bugs every day. We supplement their grazing with GMO-free grain. In return we get eggs with deep orange yolks and amazing flavor.
We have a large mobile chicken house, which gets moved regularly during the spring, summer and fall to ensure the chickens have access to fresh grass. During the winter, the house is stationary, but the chickens still roam outside every day (except on the coldest of days).
We have raised chickens on our farm for over 10 years. We continue to learn, grow, respect and occasionally hug our chickens.
